Yes, Unee requires Wi-Fi to stay online via the mobile app.

If this is your first time using it, please download the mobile app and follow the instructions in the app for initial network configuration. If you have already successfully configured the network, Unee will automatically connect to the network each time you power on.

Please note that Unee currently only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi; 5GHz Wi-Fi is not compatible.

Possible reasons:

Unee might be in mute mode - if so, you'll see a mute icon in its eyes.

→ Short-press the power button to exit mute mode.

Check your network connection.

Make sure you're close enough and speaking clearly.
If the issue continues, go to App → My → Unee Device Management and check if a firmware update is available.

Sleep Mode is designed to prevent Unee's eye lights from disturbing users while sleeping. OnceSleep Mode is enabled via the app, Unee's eyes will go dark. If Sleep Mode is turned off, Unee'seyes will light up. You can still wake it up by touch or "Hello Unee".
